Jobs That Require 12hr Days, but Aren't Finance
Curious if there are jobs out there that aren't finance related that require 12 hour days. I feel like my sweet spot is working ~12 hrs vs 18 in banking, so curious what's out there

Career Resources
There are lots. Many in medicine require 12 hours or more, same with law enforcement, running a restaurant, many inside sales jobs.
Worked at Gentleman's club as a floor manager briefly for a year when I was 20. Started 3:30pm and would usually finish between 2:30-3am. Excellent compensation, I can't stress this... if you think I banking is stressful try collecting a 30k tab when the customer or usually group of customers are drunk / high and don't want to pay at 2am while trying to keep the Dancers from attacking them / calling their man "pimp" to come handle this..
Glad i'm not doing that anymore but let me tell you I have a lifetime of classic stories.
damn that's awesome
Was funny asf sometimes, mental others definitely helped me develop skills that others would never get to. Negotiation, Sales etc lots of time dealing with executives and such.. so many celebs... WWE guys were the coolest / most respectful.
Part of the reason I quit and returned to school was the constant advice / conversations I had with business executives basically telling me I had the world by the balls and I could do whatever I liked.
AMA?
Could definitely do a AMA, not sure how well it would go with most of the excel monkeys here picturing exotic dancers.
I guess I'm confused. You let a group of customers run up a $30k tab without securing/validating a credit card prior? I would imagine a place worth it's salt would secure a credit card and ID upfront to ensure collection on what's due isn't in question. Or at least that's what I've been told about such places when the customer wants to open a big tab.
Also, I once heard a rumor that said places have unique entity names to allow business types the ability to expense a night out as legitimate entertainment. Instead of it saying "Show-N-Tail" on the receipt/CC statement, it would instead say, "Uncle Frankie's Exquisite & Fine Dining" or something ridiculous.
Second, what happens to such customers who dispute such a big tab with their CC company after buyers remorse?
The waitress usually secure a CC and a piece of id, only problem is that the customer still has to input his pin and or swipe and sign. In the event the authorities have to be called "1 in a million we always were able to persuade them to pay by letting them know it would be in their best interest if they wanted to walk out on two feet after to pay" the girls wouldn't get paid only the bar tab. the girls would then have to press charges and sue, weird laws in place I Guess.
Also yes, "such and such restraunt ltd" was very common.
if they imput there chip and pin not much they could do, visiting americans tried to dispute on say a bi monthly basis but as a 30 year business with a good reccord nothing ever came of it.

There are lots of jobs which are regular 9-5 on paper, but in reality come with more or less obligatory overtime, every day.
if you want a sweet deal, work in the tech industry. Less hours, more sprints than marathons, lots of snacks and relaxed culture. Sadly, I hate coding, but if you have aspirations for it, definitely do a boot camp, some of my peers are now at Google and IBM.
