Lev Fin Instagram Acct - Knowledge or Funny Content?

If I created an IG finance meme account in Lev fin space - would this be something of interest to follow? What content would you seek—knowledge content or funny memes content to help get u thru the day?
Obviously knowledgeable+ funny is best case scenario…
But anyways - weigh in - if there’s interest I’ll pursue

I think a lot of industry professionals would appreciate you keeping it niche like highyield.harry & unstructuredcapital. A lot of accounts go mainstream for the likes & $$ but I will personally go out of my way to buy/engage with more of the niche content. And if you want to go more meme style then sticking to your principles like memebitda and dtf is also an interesting strat.

Edit: I would also remove your name from the account.

Lmaooooo thx for the edit - I’m not an expert w IG, didn’t even notice! But also I’m not a person that feels the need to go anonymous, I see value in ppl knowing my identity and building relationships and friendships (that’s my approach with WSO DMs - I don’t help anonymously).

Why would I need to hide my ID for helpful knowledge content? I’ll keep it PG-13

Np. I do generally agree that if you have nothing to hide than why hide behind a screen, but I think certain accounts are able to make more bold and interesting content without the fear of consequences. For example, if you were to make a comment or meme about working with certain types of clients, mba associates, or anything else - that could possibly be interpreted wrong by your peers. But then again that depends on what type of content you're producing. If it's more educational than anonymity may not even be a concern.

Hung Deal
Shutterfly (LBO by Apollo)

  • In contrast, the marketing struggles of Shutterfly amidst the historically hot September show that the market remains weak for the weakest borrowers. In June, Apollo Global Management agreed to acquire Shutterfly and Snapfish. Debt financing entered the market in September and completed after a rough marketing period. Final debt for the acquisition included $1 billion in loans, approximately $785 million in secured bonds and a $300 million unsecured bond tranche. A combination of poor ratings and poor investment narrative undermined the financing, and its struggles landed in The Wall Street Journal. Moody’s rated the loan and secured bonds B1, while the unsecured bonds received a Caa1. Keeping the financing on the unfavorable side of the market bifurcation, investors also balked at the narrative of a declining photoprint business with low barriers of entry. Reports indicated that, to clear the market, Apollo retained the poorly rated unsecured bonds, the unsecured bonds were upsized by approximately $250 million (downsizing the loan), the underwriters cut the loan price to 95% and, in the end, the underwriters kept $255 million of the loans.

I'm going to begin downloading to digital the entire TAM of IG posting content, so I have it all at my fingertips.

Thinking of Starting in 1970 - every Movie, TV Show, & Billboard Top 100 Hit Song. And maybe every Fortune 500 logo too for good measure.

1970 seems safe date to start. Not missing much before, and got the all time greats covered just in time (1972 - The Godfather). (

Yeah me and him chat often on basketball 🏀 and lev fin. I’m more chatty than he is - he’s a man of “less is more”, I’m a man of “more is more”. Trying to put together an NYC Corporate Basketball Team, while maintaining his need for anonymity.

Anybody out there can pat The Rock 🏀 too and wanna join? Need some height. No ball hogs

@unhinged_capital

@Unstructuredcapital

content is niche, yeah, but low effort and a little bit of repetitiveness on theme.

@litquidity

If u notice the best & most popular memes by @litquidity (https://instagram.com/unhinged_capital?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= isn't that impressive either)-he worked his ass off on. The video compiliation or whatever it was you could tell definitely took a lot of time to finish-but he worked for the payoff in stats, and got resultsOk

@unstructuredcapital

Niche is great, but niche isn't difficult to do when you're in a niche. He's replaceable - and for one - his image quality is chronically unacceptable! Like, come onMight as well do highest quality post..

I’ve followed your answers on here quite a bit and found them useful for interview inputs/general knowledge around credit.

I’d really hope you kept it knowledge-y than meme-y :) But just my take ofc :)

Doesn’t @UnstructuredCapital re-purpose and post that meme every 7-10 days or so? Was funny the 1st time (still is), but give me something DIFFERENT!

Same 2-3 movie references are rotated

Every 2nd or 3rd post is an image of Joker

Great benchmark for creative video content memes is this guy @searchfundstu. Only 1,632 followers but he’s a grower not a shower (at the moment). Watch out for him

Knowledge, there is too much meme content

restructuring__ has been growing a lot too with no meme basically

Just following up again, think restructuring__ and mergersightgroup1 are great knowledge oriented accounts. Rx is great for technicals and is extremely easy on the eyes when scrolling through their page. But, unfortunately they're going to the buyside so am not sure how if the content will remain the same.

Would agree. Found the RX page to be very helpful when going through recruiting, even just as a refresher for Moyer topics or to name-drop a niche topic in an interview.
