LinkedIn experts can't recognize Satire
OP writes for liquidity's newsletter, the post isn't that funny, but the comments are hilarious. These guys have like thirty titles and are experts in communication but even after he exploit spelled out it was satire they didn't give up.
I think once you get to a certain point in corporate America your soul just dries up.
IMO Jack is hilarious along w/ Alexander Cohen. Love these types of accounts who lighten my feed w/ some actual humor vs another circlejerk about getting some lame internship, someone else's reposted anecdote, or pointless personal stories. LinkedIn stopped being purely professional a long time ago.
The comments are just a perfect example of how woke people aren't funny, shocker. LinkedIn "experts" are particularly cringe, but I was surprised to see some actual serious professionals chiming in with their dumb opinions on how his words are somehow anti-women/LGTBQIA~*&+. Anyone who puts shit like "Project Manager, Writer, World Traveler. Obsessed with understanding the human condition and how we relate to ourselves, other humans, our work, and the planet." in their title and proceeds to white knight what is obviously satire deserves to be mocked publicly, yes or yes?
People are calling this a shitpost, what about all the pointless HR posts “the candidate missed the interview… so I hired them” and attention seeking posts like “my employee was struggling with basic tasks.. so I promoted them” that are clogging up LinkedIn
It's 100% a shitpost, that's the joke. I would consider what you're talking about to be reposts of someone else's anecdotes. I've seen that exact same story word for word at least half a dozen times because boomer CEOs/MDs I'm connected to like or comment on the posts of some random HR woman or recruiter. LinkedIn has basically become Facebook mixed with occasionally relevant professional information.
