Yeah, you’ll need a car to get anywhere in LA really the public transportation is abysmal.
Housing you could probably look at subletting from a UCLA student somewhere nearby, dig around on Facebook etc.
Yes you’ll need a car. Live in a newer complex if possible. Century city is great
