Living with a couple

Looking for some insight on my living situation, here's the background: I am currently living with a roommate and our apt lease will be up soon. He and his gf have made it clear they will be living together but have extended an invitation for me to live with them in a single family rental. We all live/work in a HCOL area so there is obviously a huge benefit to splitting rent up amongst more people. Our squad has been good friends for a while; however, now that the two of them have coupled up, I do third wheel often and compromise has been challenging when it's always 2 on 1. I really enjoy where I am currently living, as it has near perfect amenities (huge gym, pool, great appliances), is safe, walkable, and close to work... moving in with them would result in the loss of all these benefits (longer commute, separate gym membership, etc.) To top it off, she will be bringing pets that aren't super well behaved, which will create cleaning/smell issues.

Love these guys, but I am thinking it may be worth it to live on my own in my current spot and let them have their space. It also may be healthier for our friendship(s).The only bummer will be a pretty significant increase in rent, which is still doable but much tighter.

Curious to see if anyone else has gone through this and wanted to get some different perspectives in general. Thoughts?

When I was 18 I moved into a 4BR in Encinitas, CA with a couple, hot tub, pool, and massive aquariums. It was 5 people at the place and a party fest. They were all in their 20s and we all had a great time. YMMV.
