Looking for a roommate (NYC - West Village)

We are looking for a 3rd roommate starting August 1st, 2020 in our true 3bd/2bath 2 floor apartment. The building is a luxury doorman building with a laundry room, gym, concierge service, and large rooftop with views of uptown, downtown and the Hudson. We're a 10 minute walk from the A/C/E/L subway line (on 14th and 8th).

Close to restaurants, bars, and a grocery. Right next to the Hudson boardwalk, the Whitney, and the Highline.

It sounds awesome!

I used to have a place on the border of midtown and UES for 2100 a month

Admittedly you're in a nicer neighborhood, but it's still expensive

Tbh though good luck. I realize my first comment was snarky, it just stems from me hating roommates

You should post an ad on craigslist and demand anything you want - like only looking for a chick for a good dynamic etc.

I posted an ad years ago interviewing for 2 chicks for a 4BR in NYC and just had mountains of replies. I asked for any info and pic or facebook if possible, then had in person interviews for those that made the cut.

Put some extra time into it and make sure you vet your future roommates and just feel comfortable with them as this is a situation where you can prepare a lot and filter a ton of people, especially if you have a good place locked in.

Good luck. Cheers.

Seriously though. Filter.

Interviewed a lot of chicks that didn't pull through on sending photos and info and they sucked in in-person interviews. People with legit social network background or sending lots of good photos to represent who they were - were a great asset to building the case of them being a good roommate.

You definitely have to make the case that you're badass though. The building sounds badass and provide any info you feel comfortable with to get them sold on being a roommate if everything vibes.
