Looking for Philly Roommate

Hey Everyone,

I am looking for a roommate for a 9/1 lease start. Given there isn't much finance in Philly, figured I'd come here in hopes of finding a quality roommate.

A little background on me. Work for a PE firm out on the main line. Big sports fan, love comedy shows, enjoy trying new food. Generally work long hours in week but down to hang out on weekends.

My price range is anywhere between $1200 - 2500 per person per month. You can get an awesome place in Philly in that range.

Shoot me a PM if interested!

Not in Philly these days but know the area very well? Are you going to be at Graham, NewSpring, SGE/SPC, or Hamilton Lane? Also, I would highly recommended looking Facebook for roommates in Philly. Most of my buddies that have done that have been pretty lucky with their housing situations. Also, if you’re new to the city, welcome, the city is finally becoming fun again after that last year.

Hey man, I'm in PE too (and also work out on main line). PM sent.

I'm going to ask a rather stupid question, but given your location/budget why are you looking for a roommate? Unless you're right in CC/university city commuting out to a place on the main line will be a pain, especially if the office isn't right near a train station, and that isn't where the nighttime scene is anyway.

Have you considered living alone? I used to work in center city and had a place right on the PATCO for $1100/mo. in one of the nicer towns. (it was a 1.5br--the 2nd br was nice for a home office, but I wouldn't want to try to fit a bed in there) Even a high-end fitness center in the building rarely makes living with a stranger you found on craigslist (or in this case WSO) worth it.

The only difference between Asset Management and Investment Research is assets. I generally see somebody I know on TV on Bloomberg/CNBC etc. once or twice a week. This sounds cool, until I remind myself that I see somebody I know on ESPN five days a week.
