yep heard of it, seeing I know about the program a lil bit, trust me you most likely will end up working in geneva or somewhere in europe over working in the US, if you really want to live in the US, you need to school there. I live in france and I can tell you its a good program and employment afterwards isn't that difficult provided you can speak english + (Greman or French mostly french) if you cant you might want to reconsider...

I speak english, spanish, and portuguese. I will learn the minimum required French to attend ugeneva. I think the hardest part of the program is finding that required part time job.

Like I said, I do not want to work in the US. My sister lives fairly close to Geneva and she says its fun, but its no bustling city. I lived in Rio three summers during university and it would be the absolute dream to work there. I'm currently located in Toronto.

I will be attending the Energy Rodeo next year too in order to learn more in the depth about the industry. I plan to apply to this program in Jan 2013.

dont worry about the part time job, they will give you a list of companies so, you will be fine. its a solid program as employment afterwards if kinda guaranteed as you can continue to a full time employment position with the company you did part time with, plus if i recall correctly you actually don't need french to take the program, I was only saying it will be an advantage to get a job.

I have read about the program and it sounds very strong in the region. I doubt it would get any respect in the states but your not looking to come here anyway. Good luck and the job part should be easy given the rep of the program

But I wanted to know a bit more about the program, there is very limited info available on the net, and the alumni from linkedin too haven't responded to me till now. I'm from India, top 5 UG, and been an O&G analyst for a consulting firm for ~2 years, how recognized is this in Europe among the trade/finance firms, apparently Mercuria exclusively accepts trainees from this prog. as given on their careers page

Hi Unforseen @monty09" I know this thread is all but dead but I've been accepted to this program and am currently looking for a trainee role. I was wondering if either of you had experience with this or any advice - I'm in North America so it's tough to get the ball rolling with these companies!
