Malaysian Airlines: Bad Luck or Bad Management?

I'm sure no one here is unaware of the news stories regarding Malaysian Airlines so I'm not going to explain it. But two airliners going down in the same year, the first one due to technical issues (I'm assuming) and the second was shot down, was it bad management?

I know the second one was shot down, but they were warned not to fly over war zones, which they did anyways. I guess it would be due to economic issues.

I think it was in part because of bad management on the part of the airlines. Curious what you guys think.

They fly over Syria instead of Ukraine now Probably just unlucky. There were 2 other flights nearby, incl one operated by Singaporean Airlines.

It's all about risk assessment. Qantas Airlines have re-routed their flights prior to mh17 event. They got it right here. Two years ago they cancelled some flights due to volcano ash while some other airlines adjusted the paths. Could be they got it wrong there.

Management is probably bad, yes. There have been they might go bankrupt before the first plane went missing in March.
