Interesting, how long have you been living in that golden cage? I was raised there and visit the place annually during the worst time of the year- the summers. I urge you to visit areas such as Karama, Bur-Dubai and Al Ghusais and still maintain your opinion.

And there are places like the Palm, JBR, Jumeirh Road, Downtown, DIFC, Marina... not to forget the clubs of Cavali, Armani, 360, Rooftop, Ndulge, Nasimi etc.... There's both... but it's not glorified when it's right in front of your face - seeing the brand new ferrari/lambo/bentleys/royce regularly with range rovers being the norm....
I've been to all the places you named but I'm sure you've been where I've said - both sides of the wealth curve but like I said, its not glorified when it's true. Try and name another place outside of the ME that comes close

Honestly, the only reason why I am seeing this moving (and in real 70MM IMAX, no less - none of this digital IMAX and FakeMAX bullshit) is because of the The Dark Knight Rises prologue being attached to the film for Real IMAX only. God damned brilliant marketing taking away more money from me than I want to spend.
I'm looking forward to watching The Dark Knight too. Christopher Nolan did an amazing job.
It does look pretty good. I'm not keen on all the British influx into the movies. If they were good like Michael Caine or something but Simon Pegg, Ricky Gervais? I fucking hate those guys, with a passion. About as unfunny as you can get.
Really looking forward to the Dark Knight Rises too, but I dislike the constant coverage it is getting. Everytime I go online somewhere there's a new still, pic or something. I get it on occasions but its over and above any movie EVER. Hopefully it doesnt lead us to be disappointed.
