Most Prestigious Job To People at Clubs/Parties

As I went out this halloween I was asked where did you go to school, what do you do by most of the girls I danced with.

Obviously pretty set on a career as an investor and intend to go buyside public markets when I get the chance.

With that being said, what do you think would be the most 'prestigious' jobs someone could mention as a 20 something to other 20 somethings in a NYC/LA/Miami club.

Obv professional athlete, professional musician are at the top of the list but i'm talking white collar jobs

Drumpfy, ain't you supposed to be a data scientist? "Most swiped" doesn't mean "most prestigious that someone could mention to a 20 something". I assume there are way more firefighters on Tinder than hedge fund managers. We shouldn't look at the number of swipes because it is population-dependent, something like a hit-rate would be more relevant and insightful.

At clubs, it’s not who has the most prestigious job, it’s who has a table with bottles. This is the first rule of models and bottles. First, get the bottles and the models will come. Simple physics.

It depends on the city, but mostly it depends on YOU.

Let’s use DC as an example. Anything politically connected will be prestigious there. Working in Congress / senate, maybe on some committee, is seen as more prestigious than making money (weird, I know).

BUT, like I was saying, it depends on you. There are people that work on “the hill” that still don’t get laid because they’re lame. You have to be well-connected and likable too.

I would worry about being well-connected and likable before I’d worry about the job. You are not your job, unless you’re a public figure.
