Custom domains can be useful if you assign an unique address to each service you need as well.
@mac.com or @me.com - the old Apple consumer domains. Still active if you kept your account. Impossible to get now.

I had last name (anglo, but not many of us) @umich.edu my sister and cousin took different ones…so i got just the last name. That or permission to use your initials…
@surname hands down. depending on how common your surname is, may or may not have to shill out some money to buy the domain lol. Mine costs 12k just checked.

Only thing I'd add is your middle intitial or full middle name in just in case you got named something pedestrian like John Smith.
