Murray Hill, Kips Bay, East Village and Fidi should be places to target. I would go for one of the first 3 mentioned though, young crowd and great proximity to good times.

Murray Hill is a bit boring. I prefer East Village.

Touring East Village tomorrow. Pros v Cons against Murray??

ChatGPT below, but would generally agree. If you’re in the East Village, you’re steps away from a cool bar or restaurant, where as if you’re in Murray Hill, you’re likely taking the subway or cab down to the East Village to go out. Some say it’s too loud at night, but I never had trouble sleeping.

Living in Murray Hill and the East Village in Manhattan each comes with its own set of advantages and disadvantages. Here's a comparison of the pros and cons for each neighborhood:

**Murray Hill:**

Pros:
1. **Central Location**: Murray Hill is centrally located in Manhattan, making it relatively convenient to access various parts of the city.
2. **Quiet and Residential**: It tends to be quieter and more residential compared to some other parts of Manhattan.
3. **Historic Charm**: It features some historic architecture and a charming atmosphere.
4. **Close to Midtown**: If you work in Midtown Manhattan, it's a relatively short commute.

Cons:
1. **Limited Nightlife**: Murray Hill is not known for its nightlife, and the bar and restaurant scene is more subdued.
2. **Less Trendy**: It might not have the same trendy and vibrant feel as some other neighborhoods.
3. **Fewer Cultural Attractions**: There are fewer cultural attractions and entertainment options within the neighborhood.

**East Village:**

Pros:
1. **Vibrant Nightlife**: The East Village is known for its bustling nightlife, with a wide range of bars, clubs, and restaurants.
2. **Cultural Diversity**: It's a diverse and culturally rich neighborhood with a history of artistic and counterculture movements.
3. **Green Spaces**: It's home to parks like Tompkins Square Park, providing outdoor recreational opportunities.
4. **Trendy and Hip**: The East Village has a trendy and hip reputation, attracting a younger crowd.

Cons:
1. **Noise and Crowds**: The vibrant nightlife and popularity of the East Village can lead to noise and crowds, especially on weekends.
2. **Higher Rent**: Rent and housing costs tend to be higher than in Murray Hill.
3. **Limited Space**: Apartments and living spaces can be smaller and more cramped compared to other areas.

Ultimately, the choice between Murray Hill and the East Village will depend on your lifestyle preferences. If you prefer a quieter, more residential atmosphere with a shorter commute to Midtown, Murray Hill might be a better fit. On the other hand, if you're looking for a vibrant nightlife, diverse cultural scene, and don't mind a bit of hustle and bustle, the East Village could be the right choice for you.
