First time I can remember that N. Korea has actually attacked civilian establishments... wonder how SK and the US are going to respond...

Real interesting story.

We were looking at some SK stocks when I was doing my MSF. Some kid brings up NK firing on SK ships ( 1 1/2 years ago). I loudly dismissed it and kind of chuckled it off.

Well I went home for the weekend and pulled up some reports. Apparently I was completely wrong. North Korea is a legit issue. The entire country is devoted to the military and a large chunk of the military is special forces. Now there is zero doubt that they could win a full war against the US or South Korea. The real issue is that their forces are concentrated to the point that they could severely damage most major cities in SK, causing major causalities and damage.

What we really need to do is bring China in on this and get them on board. China doesn't want NK to fall because of the immigrant issue. Last think China needs is millions of starving an uneducated North Koreans coming to Beijing for work and food.

I spent a good bit of time studying NK order of battle, geography, weapons, etc when I was in intel school and the first conclusion I came to was to not allow this escalate. This would be the messiest war/battle anyone of our generation could even fathom. The terrain is terribly unforgiving and there are actually only a few months (winter time) that would allow us to effectively move about and conduct operations. Not to mention that literally every person in the country would become a solider in some capacity because they are honestly brained washed.

If you guys haven't seen this series I seriously suggest you watch it...it will give you a hint at how outrageous a war in NK would be.

nowayNot to mention those crazy fuckers might just decide to let a few nukes fly since they're going down anyway.
My fears exactly, with the way things are going they might just decide to kill millions of people before their country is brought down to rubbles.

North Korea is probably the most troubling place on earth.
