New Joiner, Asked About Comp by Me, What Should I Have Said?
We recently had a new hire at the firm and I asked him how much he got offered? He gave me the numbers. When he asked me, I was super vague and didn't tell him how much I make.
I was trying to make competition at the place so I tried creating necessary tension by refusing to answer but it left me somewhat pleased that he shared his own numbers.
Quality crap-post.
🙏🙏🙏
Yeah, it’s like r/Consulting on Reddit when people start telling stories like “I was the carpet that the intern puked on at the firm party last night” and just start externalizing everything. It’s dissociative humor that’s like the Salvia of comedy. There’s something very Dada about it.
You might be falsely painting me as a savant – I'm an idiot
Here is the original thread:

I slightly reworded it
I understand all that. That's why I said that it was a quality crap-post from another perspective like they do in r/Consulting. Cheers
Ah I see – well, thanks boss 😂🙏
