NFL star Justin Tuck is now a VP at Goldman Sachs

Former NFL star, two-time Superbowl winner and now Wharton grad will be beginning in the PWM group at GS. Is there any precedent to a big-time NFL star working at a VP level at a bank?
Good for him for trying to be Spencer Strassmore, I wish him the best. There is precedent for this occuring and I am not surprised it's PWM. He has alot of relationships from his playing days and if he can capitalize on them then he & GS will profit because of it.
So he enters at VP level? I guess his playing days served as a sort of internship, at least with respect to networking.
Perfect job based on his connections, and it will only serve to help out athletes who would have otherwise blown their money.
Sounds like the plot to ballers lol. Good for him though, getting an Ivy League MBA > GS and playing pro ball for years is something very very few people can say.
he's in PWM- a connection business, where every single middle aged guy will literally drop anyone to get the chance to sit down with an NFL star and say they know him personally
VP is the exact level he should be at, and there's no doubt in my mind he gets promoted quickly after that
Reminds me of when Mercilus of the Texans was client of my dad. Was always happy to have him in the office.
Edit - Nice MS, someone is jelly lmao
If I were him I would work for 5-8 years, learn as much as I could then leave to build a sports management empire. Sounds crazy but I don't see who else would be more likely to do something like that.
