Phd in finance after banking

hey guys i was wondering if someone can help me, I am an econ student interested in a career in banking( mainly corporate banking, asset management and equity research) however im also passionate about academia and i really want to be a professor later in my life. My plan is to land a job work for a couple of years and then leave to pursue a phd in econ/finance. As i said earlier im passionate about academia but I also want to stay in the game and stay in an actual job rather than do research. because as u know finance and banking is like a trade and no matter how many degrees u have experience always wins. Do u think i can get the best of both worlds after my phd like teaching in a university and have a full time job or should I choose between of them? But my thought is applying to a job again with a phd in finance is not a very big deal but with a phd and 4-5 years of experience might be unique and helpful.
