Having been in the space for a while, I haven't seen Jefferies on much. I think they focus mostly on opportunistic, esoteric deals (buy now pay later, datacenter, any weird consumer loan or product that doesn't belong to any asset class like autos for example). I don't think they have a balance sheet (they dont lend money), which makes them even less competitive within esoteric ABS. Esoteric ABS (and ABS generally) has become so competitive in recent years with the opening of so many private credit shops focusing on ABS, and these shops can offer a borrower lending and capital markets execution vs Jefferies that only does execution. They do have some smart people (recently hired Peter Walgren, considered a leading structurer in the field), but is that enough to build out the platform? I don't know..
On the other hand, BOFA is a behemoth. Their deal flow is insane, and hours will be terrible. Pay is known to not be that great, but if you grind it out 3 years, you can exit to a shop that pays you a lot.

Definitely pick BOFA out of the two for ABS.
