Bump, love the topic. Curious on the answer.

Global buyer of highly distressed industrial companies. Pays Finder Fees Criteria = $50 - $500M revenues. Highly distressed industrial. Limited Reps and Warranties. Can close in 1-2 weeks.

Nope usually not. Even injury and disability leave might extend to up to 90 days but I can't imagine any group head / HR allowing you to keep you job so that you can spend three months in the clink.

What exactly was the offence?

Do you have a data point for this?

No, I don't. But my basis is on the fact that because you're posting on here, I assume you have some kind of a financial services/ high finance job. This means that there are most likely hundreds if not thousands of kids / candidates (assuming you're not a kid) who are prepared to take your job. The reputational hit to the firm you are employed at may not be worth it to keep you on / let you do your time and come back. Unless you are some high revenue generator or in some kind of management position at a firm with a low public profile, then it is difficult for me to see any scenario in which you are allowed to stay on by HR. This is why I asked originally what are the circumstances of your potential incarceration so that there can be some more color around any special or unique situation you might be in.

I don't agree with everything here. This role is a bit specialized and I bet it would take longer than 90 days to fill. Yes, there are thousands of kids with resumes who would apply, but very few who really qualify or want the role. Unlike the sample on WSO, most people do not have the total killer BSD mindset. We have a hard time filling lower roles on the totem pole.

Charge at hand is assault and battery. What was initially self defense turned into an adrenaline fueled asswhoppin.
