Quarantine breakups
Kicked off quarantine with a big breakup and rushed into another thing that I now want to end. Should I end it now or wait til the world opens back up? Apps sucked back in the summer - hence the rushing - but how is NYC now?
There really is something about being stuck indoors with someone that makes you realize how much they suck and how full of shit people can be. Yes I know this is not a dating website but no one else around me gives a shit
Yes being stuck in an place together is like leverage on a relationship. It will either get much better or much worse.
Just end it. If they're not making you any happier during quarantine, then what's the point of holding onto it till things open up? We're already getting closer to things opening up again and more social activities coming around, so you won't be alone for too long.

Dating is brutal right now bro, but I broke up before COVID too and I’ve got a bunch of buddies staying with their SO’s solely because they’re afraid of being alone during the pandemic. I’d say you’ll struggle, but at least you won’t be with some dipshit that looks at TikTok all day and has little to no personality (assuming this is what you got yourself into)

It’s going to be nuts. I’ve honestly noticed that women that would not even glance at me before on the streets are now much more interested. And I think once things go back to normal if you’re a decent looking guy, with semi-ok style, you will bag 8’s and 9’s which were WAY out of your league pre-pandemic. Most younger men can thrive without a SO, it’s not fun, but it’s doable. Women on the other hand get downright desperate as most want some kind of security, so I think this will culminate into a great environment for us decent looking late 20’s early 30’s dudes with some dough

Man same thing happened to me. Girlfriend of years broke up with me the day before COVID started. I lucked out and started seeing a much better girl over the summer. If she sucked, I wouldn’t be talking to her anymore, though. Don’t hold onto a girl you wouldn’t ask out today.

Tbh if I were you I would end it because unlike jobs it's not okay to look around for another one while you have one. Then start using the apps and swipe right on anyone 5 and above. Talk to as many at the same time as you can handle and the 5's that have great personalities will become 8-9 and the 8-9's that don't will become 5's. I guess its different since I'm still a student but I met my current gf during covid from one of the apps using this strategy and its been going great.
