If going into Consulting, I'd suggest Accounting or anything that teaches you 3 statement analysis and how to make the models flow from basic inputs.

Might be. I'm familiar with other co-op schools where it's optional. I highly recommend it. Know quite a few who've gone to these schools and have been able to avoid the dreaded dead-end entry level job after college by getting ~1-2 years of experience through quality co-ops.
Sometimes I wish I went to one of those type of schools. I ended up in a dead-end job for awhile after college (mostly due to my decision to just focus on academics and not so much recruiting, backfired on me).
