His father founded the world's first money market fund, his great-grandfather was a United States federal judge who founded the New York Botanical Garden, and he is a descendent of Virginia statesman Richard Henry Lee whose June 1776 resolution led to the Declaration of Independence. And his wife is a doctor who served as head of the FDA.
