Request to add PIN THREAD feature during the recruiting season

I'd like to request the admins of WSO to PIN a post every year when someone makes a post for SA/SW/OFF-CYCLE/FT UK/USA. It will make it a lot easier to navigate for new joiners as well as old members since right now everything is a mess.

You do not have to make a thread for every single bank. One thread for summer internship applications UK and another for summer internship applications US that's it.

What did you end up deciding then?

We have users outside the US and UK (~30%) so this would like require a lot more pinned posts...and then if we're doing it for SAs in IB, why not PE on cycle in PE forum?  I think the idea is a good one and we already have the pin feature, it's more of a question of implementation and then someone monitoring that the pinned post is the one with the ones getting the updates...  maybe we can use a merge feature for admins if someone starts another thread and people leave valuable info in a different one.    Thoughts on what forum / how many locations?

Could have a ‘recurring thread’ section alongside the recent and trending sections. Maybe the mods create a mega thread annually for Summer Analyst recruiting, on cycle etc. and have those threads accessible from one place. It would be 3-4 threads per year so the section wouldn’t be huge.

Then have those threads link to any user created threads on the same topic like the auto mod comment does.

What's wrong with the bookmark function? Then check the thread every once in a while when you see new comments have been made.
