Scaramucci is the New Communications Director for the Trump Administration

Hey Monkeys,  You all probably heard that Sean Spicer is out of the Trump administration, but Anthony Scaramucci is in.  According to this article, Scaramucci has had a history on Wall Street.

Anthony Scaramucci, the Trump administration’s new communications director, finally made the leap from Wall Street to the White House. Selling his hedge-fund firm to a Chinese company will take longer.  The sale of SkyBridge Capital to conglomerate HNA Group Co. has been delayed by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States, according to two people familiar with the situation. HNA has drawn regulators’ scrutiny as well because of its global dealmaking, leverage and opaque ownership structure. RON Transatlantic, which invests in energy, telecommunications and finance companies, is also increasing its stake in SkyBridge.
Is this a possible conflict of interest?
The New York financier’s appointment was a long-held goal, and adds another Wall Street denizen to an administration that has leaned heavily on Goldman Sachs Group Inc. for personnel. Scaramucci once worked for the bank.
It seems like in Trump's administration, he picks quite a few of his staff who had experience in finance or Wall Street.    Do you think that the best way to enter politics is through finance?  Do you think that Scaramucci is going to cause a headache for the Trump administration?  Do you think Scaramucci will be featured in SNL?

A. Of course not. Trump is playing the business game in a world of politicians, and his plan is to keep doing so so that lawmakers can keep blocking everything he tries to do and he gets to keep saying "the system is rigged."

B. Nope, Scaramucci is exactly what they need: someone willing to speak all the bullshit in the world since he isn't bound by any sense of civic duty.

C. Absolutely, but we need to see some kind of mini-scandal first, like a hearing, press conference gone awry, etc. Give it a few days.

No way. Spicer was a somewhat honest guy who created quality entertainment for America by trying to do the job with a modicum of integrity. Scaramucci is just going to hide and lie about everything so that the press has nothing to talk about. Why else do you think they got someone from the finance world?

What a joke Scaramucci director of communications. Scaramucci must of donated hugh sums to the presidential campaign. I want to know how much it cost him that new gig at the White House and I want Comey back at the FBI.

I think finance is not a great way to enter politics unless you are entering into an economic or campaign financing role. People can be fairly sketchy of bankers.

I don't know how the guy Trump wants in the seat is going to cause him a headache. The reality is that Sarah Huckabee-Sanders is going to continue doing the majority of the press briefings. When scaramucci does speak I assume he may be more polished compared to spicer. Also, he has had plenty of screen tile throughout his life and is use to expressing an opinion.

I am sure if he will be featured on SNL. However, part of why spicer was on snl is because he was pretty crass with the press. I can see SNL doing a Brooklyn character for scaramucci or maybe elitist New Yorker to make him/the admin appear out of touch.

Only two sources I trust, Glenn Beck and singing woodland creatures.

For your first point, I agree with many people are wary of finance guys. At the same time, Americans commonly elect lawyers for office...

Second point, even though he probably won't speak a lot, I believe that the media is going to rag on his conflict of interests. Just look at Kushner and the other people in the Trump administration.

Third, I agree with you there. Melissa McCarthy must be bummed that Spicer is out...

Side note, I have always found it interesting that people like to elect lawyers to legislature. To me it always seems to scream conflict of interest. The last people I want to write rules I now have to live by are those who made a living off of the rules already laid in place, seems like they would be keen on just throwing more on the books to pad their industry.

Finance definitely seems like an easy way to work your way in to politics if you are high up enough. Going back to Bush finance guys, especially from Goldman, have worked their way into SEC and finance positions. Take Hank Paulson for example.
