THIS IS PISSING ME THE FUCK OFF! Does anyone actually know how to fucking read in this country? Unfuckingbelievable.

So this article and news is making rounds on CNN and after reading the comments, IT'S PISSING ME THE FUCK OFF:

http://gma.yahoo.com/florida-lifeguard-fired-tryi…

Yes, it's about the life guard who was fired for "TRYING" to save a drowning man.

So what's pissing me off in addition to the fact that he was fired? Well, read the Yahoo comments. Everyone is commenting like he is Jesus Christ, that the man would have died had he not "saved" him.

Anyone with half a fucking brain who rread the article would have read that he did NOT save the guy -- by the time he ran over there, OTHER PEOPLE ON THE GODAMNN BEACH had pulled him to shore. The lifeguard didn't need to do shit.

But EVERYONE is running around praising his actions for saving the life of a fellow American. Such fucking bull. The real hero is whoever pulled the man to shore (who I assume is NOT a trained lifeguard and not suited for stuff like this) BEFORE the lifeguard got there.

Give me a fucking break.

Damn right I'm fired up. Everyone says he ran 1000+ feet to rescue the man.

Nobody even cared to INFER that another hero RAN 1000+ feet over to the lifeguard in order to INFORM him that a man is drowning? Where's the credit to THAT hero?

And honestly, even the biggest of all assholes could NOT have said "no. let him die." when someone is screaming in your face about a drowning man!

Jesus christ. People are so fucking stupid.

And guess what? This lifeguard got an interview spot on Erin Burnett tonight on CNN. that's fine. you do that, you have to interview the person who ACTUALLY saved the man as well!

blah.

No one knows how to read anymore, also, a lot of people do not know how to write.

I may not be on the Jedi Council, but I sure am great with the Force. See my WSO blog posts

now he will prob go off and write a book.

possible titles include:

My Decision - "A former lifeguard reveals it all in a passionate dramatic flashback of a daring rescue." Rebel Lifeguard To Save or Not to Save, That is not a Question Against All Odds, Against All Orders

blah.

Reading comments on any major website's news stories is just a bad idea. After doing it you realize why certain people are elected and others are not elected.

The answer to your question is 1) network 2) get involved 3) beef up your resume 4) repeat -happypantsmcgee WSO is not your personal search function.

He got Fired for leaving his post...Not a surprise. He has a zone to patrol where a lifeguard is on duty. This man was swimming in a "Swim at your own risk" zone w/o a lifeguard.

The man was saved by the time Lifeguard Larry got there...but no one was watching the zone where there should be a lifeguard.

Eventus stultorum magister.
