Wall Street Oasis hits 200,000 Members!

I'm happy to say that in 14 short months, the WSO community has DOUBLED it's membership base (we hit 100,000 on October 9, 2012). Today we passed the 200,000 mark and I wanted to say thank you to all of our new and old members that made it possible.

I'm still in awe at how strong the community has become and the amount of help that dispensed daily by our Certified Users and more senior members of the community to the new chimps.

So thank you, thank you, thank you. Our goal was to hit 200,000 by the end of 2013 and it looks like we BARELY made it. I'm excited to see what 2014 will bring...

Now if any of you have read the Lean Start-up, you know that this gross member # is really just a vanity metric. What is much more important is ACTIVE members, however you want to define that...so we are getting much better at tracking total accesses and unique accesses to the site, as well as unique members contribuiting, etc...

We are working harder than ever and are hyper-focused on improving the content on WSO as well as improving the site as a platform for connecting with like minded students & professionals. I also hope that along the way you've had some fun and we've helped you form meaningful relationships and that you'll continue to make WSO strong as ever!

Who thinks we can hit 300,000 by end of 2014?

Congrats Patrick. WSO has helped me quite a bit in the 2 short years I've been a member, and I've seen the community completely transform as well.

I'm looking forward to a prosperous career of models, bottles, and Monkeying Around topics.

Wow congrats. I can't even thank you enough for the immense amount of knowledge that I have gained from you and the users of this site in the past four-five months or so that I have been a member. Can't wait to see what lies ahead!

Congrats. What dumpster fire of a thread are we talking about @WallStreetOasis.com ? I love some good drama.
