I was wondering how come WSO has no iOS app? I am sure it would be widely used if it were to exist. I don't know about you guys, but whenever I'm on this site using Safari on iPhone, posting comments tends to be hassle. I would certainly use the WSO app if one were to exist, just my two cents.

to be completely honest, I could knock out a WSO app using swift in about a day or two. lmk if interested.
They should approach you for this. I don't typically pay for apps, but i'll shell out $0.99 for a WSO app.
I'm interested, but concerned if you make it very basic, it will be lose a lot of the functionality (also not sure how it would integrate with our back-end, etc)...

Thanks for the feedback! We have focused most of our limited dev resources on trying to make the mobile site as user-friendly (and fast) as we can vs having to develop an app for both iOS and android.

Also quick question - would it be possible to add a feature to deleted posts (with 0 answers)? This would reduce a portion of useless content on WSO - in addition to making profiles clearer, and in some cases avoid throw away accounts (or people changing everything into delete).
Seconding, take a look at all the "deleted" threads.
Since it's just an app for a website and nothing too intensive, you can probably use a library that binds iOS and Android calls into the same functions, write once and you have an app for both devices. I'd be more than willing to work on an app for free if you do decide to go down this route, shouldn't be too hard.

I'm less interested in an app than I would be a slightly differently designed mobile site. I may be the outlier here, but when I log into WSO, my first step is checking my bananas/shits/mentions from whatever number is up in the corner. I can't do this on my phone, because the bananas/shits/mentions don't come up like they do on desktop.
This should be easy enough to get notifications in upper right next to user icon...will keep you updated once I talk to dev team
I would be a big fan of this.
On mobile they just recently changed how responses stack on top of each other. Eventually responses become squished to the point that the text box is only one letter wide so it looks like this.

thanks for the heads up...nesting should stop after a few levels on mobile. Sounds like a bug - on it!
This is a less important glitch but certain threads have ligma on mobile which makes it difficult to type out longer responses
