We're Back Baby! Slavery Returning to the US?

Could a $5,000 "baby bonus" convince Americans to have more kids? Here's what the data shows. - CBS News

I was wondering where the labor was going to come from in this supposed "bring manufacturing jobs back" because no one wants them and they probably wouldn't pay well. Of course, who doesn't want a $5K check if you're poor and guardrails to support minorities are being removed.

I'm not sure I understand what part of this is slavery?

I mean, these kinds of pronatalist policies inevitably fail, which I guess is why Mr Trump is interested, but I have a hard time seeing how it's somehow offensive to make it easier to have and raise kids.  As others have pointed out, we have plenty of other subsidies to help make it easier to support children.
