Looking for some nice noise cancelling ones in the ~300USD range. Something noise cancelling, closed back, wireless with good sound quality for an audiophile like me.

I wear Bose QC35 II, got them on sale but without it they're I think $300 on the nose.

I'm a huge music and podcast guy so I'll just give a ranking of headphones I have right now:
Powerbeats 0/10 because they fell apart in three months would not recommend
Airpods OG 5.5/10 (good for calls and gym, cheapish)
Airpods Pro 7/10 (good for calls and gym)
Sony WH-1000XM3 for cheapish over the ear ($200) 8.5/10
Sony WH-1000XM4 for over the ear ($280) 9/10
Airpods Max if you want to splurge for over the ear experience ($550) 9.7/10 they are great
Would recommend either of the Sonys or the Airpods Max

They are very comfy, good noise cancellation, good sound quality, great battery life, great value. Highly recommend!
what about bose?
Bose is solid, I've tested some out. I personally think the XM4 is slightly better at noise cancellation, more comfy, and a better value but you probably can't go wrong with either.
As an audiophile, second the WH-1000XM4.
Consistently rated as the best over-the-ear headphones on the market right now.
AirPod Pros are solid for calls and one-offs.
No brainer ! Go with Master & Dynamic. Great brand very sleek and good for audio heads.

Sennheiser momentum (3) wireless
I have had the Hesh 2 Wireless for a few years and they are very durable - a good workout headphone. Not too expensive either. And the call quality is great.
I broke a pair skimboarding, but got another pair. I've worn these headphones in the NYC 5th Ave mile to get a 5:19 in 2018.
