I’m going to have to go with Amazon. It has significantly improved my life and made it easier. I order so much stuff on the site and it is delivered straight to my door. The speed and efficiency is unparalleled. 10/10 convenience. I buy a lot of specialty items too so I don’t have to spend hours driving around and walking around in large stores. Jeff Bezos deserves billions.

Has to be the smartphone - entire cities and industries were built off that technology.
For sure a lot of negatives with it. But the smartphone disrupted basically every consumer industry in ways that were inconceivable a 10-20 years ago

however, I vote for the world wide web (came about in 1989). on balance I think it's the best invention of my lifetime.

E-commerce platforms like Amazon/Ebay typically don't regulate these products, so there's no way of knowing if you are buying a knockoff or a stolen product. Stick to buying these in person or at worst from the online section of a reliable shop that you know carries these goods (ex. Saxs 5th).
Idk if you know now but eBay has rolled out an authenticity program for watches, rare sneakers, etc. when you buy a certain collectible, it’s first shipped to an authenticator, then verified with an RFID tag, and shipped to you after.
Doubt it’s full proof but better than just relying on a sellers ratings alone.
