The SLK is one of the most feminine vehicles you can buy.

Corvettes are for real douchebags (unless you're going for a '70s or below). Just go to a Corvette club event, they'll either not let you in, not race against you, or will give any excuse if they lose against you.

Z4 M Coupes can be tight. Regular Z4 convertibles are a semi-rich woman's version of the miata.

Cool Z4 M Coupe: http://robson.m3rlin.org/cars/wp-content/uploads/2007/09/bmw_hamannz407…

It's a good car for autocrossing.

Btw, I agree with the M3 Coupe/Audi A5 comment.

Hehe, I've heard that many times before, but why? Its such a nice car.

The Z4 is a boss car, especially with the 3.0 twin turbo engine (35i). That engine in a stock 335 will do 0-60 in 3.8 seconds and with a JB3 harness will do it in 3.5 and leave a 911 GT3 RS for dust.

The SLK is a bitch car. Don't buy it.

The Corvette is an unimaginative American redneck car.

Z4, Corvette, SLK? If this is a serious question, get your head examined. I'm not even going to bother with alternative suggestions as a result of your preliminary choices. I hope you aren't a guy. If you are, I feel sorry for you.

i agree - the Z4 and SLK are definitely chicks' cars, and as for the 'vette.. are you fucking joking?? I'd rather walk..

Z4 and SLK are in the same class, but where do you get the Corvette? Personally, I wouldn't drop 50k+ on any of those cars. As highlighted before, the M3 is the way to go

Related question, what is everyone's feeling on the new Porsche Panamera? I feel like its a cross between a 911 and a station wagon....I'm kind of torn, but I guess if I had a family it would be a sweet ass car. Better than a fucking Z4 that's for sure.

The Panamera, like the Cayenne (a VW Touareg in skankier clothing), is not a true Porsche. While Porsche sold a load of Cayenne's to soccer moms around the US, the unintended consequence was the dilution of the Porsche brand. If you want to haul three of your friends around in a fast car, why would you pay 90 grand for a Panamera with an ugly butt when you could have an sleek and sexy M3 sedan for 55 grand? The question won't even matter in a few years as rumor has it that VW plans to kill both the Cayenne and Panamera upon completion of the VW/Porsche merger.

Agree on almost all accounts. The Cayenne is actually the fastest mass-produced SUV on the market, keeping it a "porsche thing." However, that is not to say that I agree with it existing in the first place. The Panamera is atrocious. Get an Audi if you need a practical family car, and keep the 911 in the garage/storage.

I've always liked Q better than M but whatever.

Switching gears, my conclusion is that I would rather get an American Muscle car with more HP and have dough left over to play with (pies maybe).

The one exception is if I had to get AWD. In that case, I would probably get an Audi.

Z4 and SLK both come with a complimentary box of feminine care products with purchase. That should tell you something. Steer clear of tiny coupes other than Porsche

No pun intended

Can't go wrong with Vette HP and reliability or Audi AWD quattro system.

If I was buying a roadster, I would buy a Porsche because there is no substitute.
