What extracurricular activities did you participate in as a kid?
I likely did the typical things - guitar, piano, a fencing club when I was older, rowing in college and that's about it.

Career Resources
I want to learn how to fence. Is it very expensive?
I don't remember how much it cost. I did it the same year I did cotillion.
I just took a look at a place near me It's $185 a month.
Rowing is not that typical.
I skied competitively and I also pole vaulted and ran the 400m in high school. Tried football out for a season but I wasn't the biggest kid out there.
Was an Eagle Scout and I backpacked all the time, I wish I had the time to get back into it, I went to Philmont and did ~110 miles in 10 days during high school. I've also thought about joining a local scout troop as a leader or something.
Philmont was the shit. My hike may have been the same route/timeframe as yours
Probably, my troop was pretty serious about camping.
Majority of troops that went to Philmont did around 70-90 miles total the entire trip but we did one of the more long routes.
Totally a blast, hopefully I can go back one day if I ever have a son.
I couldn't afford any. =D... Karate
Scouts, soccer, and downrange marksmanship
It was singing and learning music as a kid in my schooling.
Piano, tennis, violin, swimming, quartet, orchestra, French, public speaking, music composition. Maybe some other stuff.
My childhood was typical, summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When I was insolent I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds, pretty standard really.
