What would you do with a 3 month sabbatical?
I remember reading on this site that a senior banker said that he would rather be strung out on a beach in southeast asia if it weren't for the money.
Now, that seems like a good start but what would you do with the other 2 months? =D
I've actually given this some thought, and the answer I arrived at was 1month traveling/hiking + 2months internship in something fun I always wanted to do (for me this would be an internship with NYTimes or similar publicaiton).
NYT generally prefers people who can spell, whether you’re the one doing the writing or if you’re proofing others. Good luck with that.
NYT is also a trash rag at this point so there's probably more leniency on hiring than you think.
i would go right across the street to the local high school and help kids plan for college, prep for sat, apply for jobs and overall get them ready for life post high school.. I dont need to go half way around the world.. we have issues here that need people's help
Great ideas so far. So no one else is fantasizing about an extended vacation?
Sit on my ass and watch Dog The Bounty Hunter DVD's all day for the first week. Then after finishing season's 1-4, I'd get off my ass and catch a flight somewhere in the tropics. Then I'd spend a week on a houseboat where I'd wakeboard and waterski with a bunch of buddies. Then I'd spend a few weeks in Scottsdale golfing. That's all I would need.
