What's the deal with these people posting models on LinkedIn?

Just as the title says. Referring to the random people who post LBOs and DCFs on LinkedIn saying 'comment Im Interested to receive the model'. Then these people never even distribute out the model?? What is even going on here/what's the point??

Every time someone asks you to respond "Interested" and sometimes to include your email address, you can have absolute certainty that those are for data mining purposes.

When you post a comment, your entire LinkedIn network will see it, and will thus see the post to which you responded, because your contacts follow you by default.
