Just as the title says. Referring to the random people who post LBOs and DCFs on LinkedIn saying 'comment Im Interested to receive the model'. Then these people never even distribute out the model?? What is even going on here/what's the point??

I'm assuming you were one of those people who commented "Interested!" or your email address and never got anything? Glad to know people actually never end up getting "this game-changing model that will revolutionize how you think about finance" and that it's just a scam. Didn't mess out on anything.
Every time someone asks you to respond "Interested" and sometimes to include your email address, you can have absolute certainty that those are for data mining purposes.
