Who actually wants to rebuild the heart of the American Spirit?

Politics aside.  I haven't seen any finance company or investment firm talk about what they are doing to rebuild the American Spirit.  It seems really since the dot com bust and espically since the GFC that the entire world and espically America has been adrift, riddled with corruption and pie in the sky ideologues.  When will we get back to the adventerous nation that built stuff and held in the highest regard those who took risks to build a better world for tomorrow?

It seems like we are entraped on one side by morons who preach non stop doomerism and on the otherside by nanny state monitors who are more worried about their portfolios going up by 10% a year as the only benchmark of success.

When will the new generation of leaders emerge that bring us back to optimism?  Or have we already been over come by rampant jealousy and vindictiveness?
