Why do F500's Bring non-local People as Head of APAC, LATAM?
This is much less common among banks. But wouldn't it be far easier to please clients if you are let's say from Brazil instead of Scotland like Jane Fraser was when she led Citi LATAM?
An example to show how absurd this would be is if they had an American from Alabama run EMEA at Lazard or PWP.
I just feel like if you are a CEO in China, or Japan and the representative that runs LATAM doesn't even speak any of the Asian languages, I'd be moderately perplexed as to why they were chosen to run the division over all people from that demographic.
