Why I avoid discussing politics at work

Harvard students will be blacklisted by Wall Street after joining 31 organizations that blamed Israel for the Palestine war

Harvard students have been warned they have jeopardized their futures after putting out a statement blaming Israel for the horrific Hamas terror attack

Billionaire hedge fund manager Bill Ackman is among wealthy business chiefs who say they want the students named and shamed so they don't get jobs

What about pro-israel comments given their actions and clear war crimes? Double standards.

Got another question for you. Are pro-Israel comments the same as pro-Osama Bin Laden comments? Can we equate that as well

Bin Laden listed the U.S.'s support of Israel as a reason for the 9/11 attacks. So by your logic, being pro-Israel or pro-USA is the same as being pro-Bin Laden. Everyone is a war criminal so it's all the same right?

Edit: Wow getting MS for pointing out Osama bin Laden and Israel are not the same on a website for financial people who were the primary victims of 9/11. WSO may want to send that IP address to Homeland Security.

Jeez, you are a total fool.

My point was that it makes no sense to have a complete ban for support of one side, yet advocate support for the other. Either treat ALL comments the same, regardless of Pro Palestine or Pro Israel or don’t do anything. The double standards are blatant. Not sure why you’ve decided to bring in Bin Laden into the equation.

And please, for one second DO NOT act like everything being done to Israel has not been done BY Israel on a much larger scale. Not advocating this; however these are the facts.

Everyone with even remotely conservative* beliefs already understands to just shut up at work when possible, maybe eventually find another person who you can tell feels similar and have someone to eye roll with during large company meetings. There is no space for these views at a F500 or similar megacorp, though liberal views are given a complete runway for whatever they want. I'm sure the opposite is true in different lines of work (rural small businesses, companies with old brass leadership, trades - though likely pro union, etc.)

*remotely conservative defined as:

- showing any support at all of the president from 2016-2020

- questioning the manner or degree of COVID lockdowns

- not wanting to announce your pronouns in a meeting

- showing any pushback or question, at all, to BLM movement (this has died down quite a bit)

- Not agreeing wholesale that being a woman in America is living in a modern day apartheid

what any of the above has to do with actual work you got me. Biggest highlight from this was the mega corp I was at had a womens support and networking group, which is fine and pretty common, but there was a response to have a similar group for men. So the company made a male support group whose sole agenda and purpose was.... finding ways to better support women.

Good. Many jews hold senior positions in finance. Or have found many finance firms.

They can totally purge individuals who are against Jews, and not letting them having a slightest chance at working in finance.

This woke shit must be punished severely.
