Would you / have you payed someone for a role in IB?
As someone in banking who comes from an extreme non-target background (less than 10 people have ever done banking) I learnt a lot in the recruiting journey and have been able to use that info to help a few finance students land Internship/FT IB roles (and other similar finance roles like ER).
I am thinking about charging people for services but on a success fee based model where nothing is paid out until you land the full time role or Internship (unless for personal reasons month to month was wanted); if you came up empty handed you wouldn't pay me anything. For anyone who has used these services / looking into them or preparing for interviews, I wanted to get your thoughts if that is something you would ever pay for or be interested in from a market perspective?
Hell no
I feel like this is a highly saturated market, lots of people who run these companies (where you only pay if you land a role) come from very experienced backgrounds (decades in ib/pe/hf’s)
“Payed”? Brother…
This basically already exists. Just ask any Mainland Chinese person lol.
What you need really is a population of very wealthy students whose parents can throw XXXXX+ at this. No student themselves is going to actually pay. It's the parents you need to convince.
Junior classes are infested with these folks..
Brother just discovered headhunting from first principles
Fuh no
