WSO NYC Happy Hour: Fri Nov 1 @ The Pony Bar

Join us @IlliniProgrammer 's favorite watering hole, located on 45th Street and 10th Avenue (NOT THE GALWAY HOOKER), to meet your fellow simians and down some food and drink. 21+ only, please.

We won't have our own space this time, but you should be able to find us. Look for a group of well-dressed gentlemen!

The Pony Bar was named after a type of beer served at a racetrack, and it offers good food and a full bar--the main draw being its rotating menu of 20 American craft beers at $5 a pour. It's like happy hour all night!

We'll also be welcoming a couple of WSO members who will be in town from Hong Kong.

Meetups are always a fun way to meet (and carouse with) other members of the site. Good times are usually had by all, and they tend to go till around 10-11pm (or basically, whenever we feel like ending it). If you're stuck in the office, sneak out anyway, and we can all vouch for you.

My point is that out in the NJ suburbs, I can go to a bar and get a beer for $2.

How much do you tip on a $2 beer?
Too late for second-guessing Too late to go back to sleep.

I alternate between a dollar and 50 cents.

I won't be in town for this, but am in NYC this weekend Friday through Monday speaking to a couple of banks in mid-town on Friday and one downtown on Monday about potential opportunities. Would anyone be available to meet up sometime Friday night or over the weekend?

@AndyLouis: well, you've got to maximize the utility of the alcohol dollars. @IlliniProgrammer isn't an alcoholic, so he usually doesn't have to worry about a large tab.

Fearless and I are here--look for a white guy with glasses sipping an oatmeal stout (that would be me).
