Your kid's dolls now have AI and are monitoring your child

I was reading this article which discusses how affordable dolls with AI are becoming and the methods they use to understand your child's emotions.

This got me thinking - with the shift toward less stay at home parents and everyone having less kids later if at all, will we see a big shift towards tech coming up with something to make parenting easier? Take this doll, it interacts with your kid all day, monitors everything, sends data somewhere. Why not send it to the parents who can then determine how much the kid slept, is it hungry, what are its emotions? How convenient would that be?

Do you guys see tech playing a major role in parenting in the future? As I see it right now, it seems like one of the least affected areas of life by the shift in the past 20 years.

first AI takes our jobs, then it takes our children

look up elon musk's idea of "singularity," when machines become smarter and more capable than humans, and we become like pets to them. it's slowly happening.
