Can an average Big 4 guy earn between 200k and 300k?
Certainly there are quite a few people who achieve more than that.
What I mean is usual (or slightly above average) case.
Is it fairly common for a person who started a career in Big 4 to make 200K ~ 300K in their mid-30s?(or late 30s)
Perhaps a better question is why 200-300k is "your number?" Why not 100k?
There's a diminishing return on rising income. Is 300k worth potentially failed marriages, poor family and friendships, 60+ hour work weeks, the greed disease and declining health?
I'm not saying all this will happen, but realize wealth doesn't just consist of monetary compensation.
Mannnn that's some broke-ass logic
Mannnn that must be why you identified with it
Yeah true. Good thing you won't have to deal with this in $500mm wealth management.
Ayyyyy, you already know more about me than 99.9% of this forum. Thanks for becoming my first fan!
Happy to give you the support man! I love looking out for the little guy.
Definitely possible if you make partner in your late thirties but the partner track is becoming less and less popular for Big 4 considering having to do mind numbing work for a number of years. I think I was reading a stat that less than 5% of Big 4 entry level accountants make partner.
200K ~ 300K seems too small for Big 4 partners
