Compliance Salaries?

Does anyone know what back-office compliance folks get in terms of salary at the analyst, associate, and VP level? Wondering specifically about the Big 5 in Canada but also would like to hear what people in the US are making too.

If you're interested in this topic you should check out Robert Half. They are a recruiting firm that puts out a salary guide every year and I know they do one for internal audit and I *think* they also include compliance in there. On an anecdotal level, I am at a BB and I can tell you that our compliance and IA people do very well. Not as we well as IB, but you'll be just fine.

For NYC, yes, that's about right. My first years are less than that but outside of NYC. So, yes, I'd say that 80 is a decent expectation for NYC in compliance.

Are you looking at offers? If you post more about the offer I can give you feedback on that. But remember, choosing to go into compliance/IA/etc is more about building a career for yourself there than anything else. It's almost like a trade or some other career that you have to dedicate your life to. You should be looking at this from a long-term lens because if you do it right, you can be in compliance for, literally, the rest of your life.
