Hey guys I am working on a project in Excel at the moment and I need a function that will delete all text to the right of the second period of a string of text for an entire column of data.
For example:
I like cars. Cars are cool. Cars are fast.
I need a function that will delete everything after the second period which would be the entire segment which states, "Cars are fast."
Any ideas on how I can go about doing this?
=LEFT(C6,SEARCH(CHAR(5),SUBSTITUTE(C6,".",CHAR(5),2)))
where c6 is the string you're referencing

Make sure your cell references are correct and it should work.
