Is Google Sales a good way to start your career? Would you prefer to take one of the following options instead?

To give a bit of context, I interned over the summer at Google in Dublin and have since been offered a role in the UK sales team for a Summer 2018 start date. However, I am struggling to ignore the reservations I have about how good sales at Google would be for my career.

I am in my final year at a non-target UK university and have applied to the following in an effort to broaden my options:

  • American Express Strategic Partner Group

  • Goldman Sachs IBD Analyst

  • Credit Suisse IBD Analyst

  • JP Morgan CIB Analyst

  • Amazon AWS Business Analyst

  • P&G Assistant Brand Manager

  • OC&C Strategy Consultants

-For those wondering, I have been rejected from MBB and some of the other top strat houses.-

If you were in my position, would you take any of the positions referenced above ahead of Google Sales, or do you think I should stop applying to stuff and just get excited about joining Google?

Thanks for any advice!

Mark
