Post Superday - Operation Analyst Program 2023 - Charlotte, NC

Hi Everyone,

I wonder if anyone knows where the interview process stands at the moment and what are my chance in a very big candidate pool. (I know there are around 90 candidates for about 14 positions who make it to the super day interview)

I just completed the super day for the Wells Fargo - IWM Operation Analyst Program Charlotte, NC 2023, last Thursday, March 9. I sent the thank you note to the hiring manager on the same day via a recruiter.

I got a referral for this position back in Dec2022 through my mentor, who just got promoted to the VP of Corporate and IB Ops in Charlotte, NC.

Through my referral, I do not have to go through any screen interviews or other rounds; the only 1 I got was the super day. The interview was behavioral base questions. I believe I did well in the interview, and the hiring manager seems to like me.

I reached out to the recruiter who set up the interview, but she was OOO last Friday and Wednesday, and Thursday this week. It has been 4 business days since my super day. I emailed other recruiters last Friday, and she told me they would make decisions in 2 weeks.

During the interview with my hiring manager, I asked her what some challenges in her team are that I could help her solve immediately if I got hired. Then she told me about her team and analysts, and they spend 20% of their time programming and detecting some current issues and trying to fix them. So, I just created a web project portfolio with all my example works and have 1 of the recruiters forward the email to her today.

I do not know how long it will take them to get back to me! Are they doing more interviews? What should I ask the recruiter who is back in the office this Friday (6 days after the interview) to know where my application stands?

I am really interested in this program, and any advice would help!

Below is a little bit about my background.
“I am a senior at the University of South Florida majoring in Finance, and I will be graduating this Spring. And I am also completing the Data Science certification at USF-Springboard.

As someone who wants to pursue a career in the financial service industry, I passed the Securities Industrial Essential exam by FINRA last year.

Over my academic years, I also have had the opportunity to exposure to various parts of the financial services industry from my internships. First, I interned at MDFITECH, where I worked as an Investment Analyst in the options trading team.
Then, I interned at Raymond James last summer, where I spent time in the Global Wealth Solutions Department. At Raymond James, I added ten mutual funds and ETF products to the platform and completed the ESG project with other interns in the same department. Then, I also received an extended offer to join their Supervision team, where I reviewed clients' accounts and ensured that their trades were processing correctly.
Currently, I am interning at Ros Capital Partners, where I work on creating presentations, letters of intent, and non-disclosure documentation.”
