Reinsurance industry (reinsurance broker)

Hey, I'm new to this website. I am currently a junior at a non-target and was wondering if anyone knew about the insurance industry, specifically reinsurance.

I was looking at major reinsurance companies and wanted to see where you start out after college and what are the best positions to start out in (underwriter?). Also am interest in hearing about lifestyle, hours, pay, and job security.

Does anyone work in the industry/ have the low-down? Thanks in advance

Reinsurance brokerage - heard Guy Carpenter (sister company of Marsh, the insurance broker) is good at this, apparently really good hours though very 'distinct' culture. Depends on a lot depending on geography; in shallow insurance markets, local insurers are just glorified reinsurance brokers as they pass off the risk.

The truth is you're the weak. And I'm the tyranny of evil men. But I'm tryin', Ringo. I'm tryin' real hard to be the shepherd.

Aon Benfield, Guy Carpenter and one other I can't remember are the top/largest reinsurance firms. I know there can be good money in it for the upper level people, don't know much else.

Thanks for the insight. Would you or anyone else know how much money were talking, especially early on? I'm assuming not banking levels.
