Weird path (HR)

So I've really been thinking about this.

Most of HR is 80% women while most of exec/VP/CHRO positions are 80% men. Those roles normally have salaries in the range of corporate finance and various other industries ($250k-1MM all in).

What would be the best route to get prepared for a career in Human Resources with the goal of becoming a CHRO?

I was thinking 2-3 years Big 4 then jump to MBA (HR focus) and then getting in as a director or generalist somewhere?

Or would it be better to try to enter early as an HR consultant and then go MBA route to the upper echelons of HR.

Pretty much would love to have a discussion about it.

That means 99% of people I interact with will be admiring my jaw line. Sounds like a great path for me so far.
