5.5 Years in M&A, it is too late to jump to PE?
What are my chances to land a PE job in London at a large fund or UMM given by experience below:
- 5.5 years of experience in M&A (I have worked for 3 companies in that time, I worked for 6 months at a no-name MM boutique, then for 1 year and 8 months at a low tier bank (RBC, Nomura, Wells, Mizuho, MUFG) and then I have worked for 3 years at a top American BB.
Do you think it is too late to jump to PE? And if I get a job, would I start over as Associate 0, or I could keep my status and start as Associate 2?
