Acquisitions Analyst for brand owned by a PE firm. Is this is good role to take up? Will it open doors?

I have an interview for a company that’s owned by a PE firm. This company operates convenience store and gas stations… they also look to acquire other convenience stores/gas stations. Technically you work for/with the PE firm but the position is under the convenience store name/brand. I have some residential RE acquisitions experience for my families portfolio, but nothing with a legit PE firm.

Recruiter said they’re in office 5 days a week! Holy shit.. that’s a lot. Would be like an hour and a half commute each way, but I’m sure they’d pay for my train pass or something. They’re offering 100-115k plus bonus (I tried asking how much it would be but she didn’t know.. usually from what I’ve read is that these types of roles offer like 20-40%+ bonus)  and 100% paid benefits.

The responsibilities for this role are to analyze deals and determine profitability of new and existing acquisitions… typical acquisitions stuff. I don’t believe I would be the one finding the deals, I just do the due diligence, modeling, presentations etc…

So, the position is essentially within commercial RE. I want to be in REPE and I think this would be a good opportunity. I currently work in Fp&a and id really like to get into PE. Do you guys think this is something that will open doors? For those who know about REPE and acquisitions analysis… is this something worth pursuing? What sort of options/exit ops would be available to me?
