They're not doing great, they bought many overhyped (IMO) software growth companies at the market peak. The fund is likely underwater at the moment, and deal flow seems completely dead. I expect neither of those things to change given the outlook for tech right now. The team seems competent enough, but I'd guess the timing screwed them. Future fundraising is going to be tough since they started a new fund entirely focused on tech right before tech fell apart (founded in 2019 and then raised a second fund in 2021), and they don't have much of a prior fund track record that LPs can trust.

I would personally steer clear of Advent Tech for at least a few years to see how this shakes out and if Advent decides its worth the hassle to have a sidecar fund just for tech without the same bubble around software businesses (all of Advent's other groups invest out of a single flagship fund).
